Last Updated: 04/12/2026
Welcome to USFix Appliance Repair, a DBA of USFix Services LLC (“USFix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions are intended to provide clear expectations regarding our diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and related services, including service requests, estimates, approvals, invoices, payments, and service communications.
By requesting service, scheduling an appointment, approving an estimate, invoice, work order, or service request, confirming service by text or email, authorizing service in person, or making payment for service, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, please do not request or authorize service.
Service Summary
For convenience, the following summary highlights some of the most important service terms:
The diagnostic/service fee covers travel, inspection, testing, and professional evaluation, and is non-refundable once the visit is performed.
The initial visit is for diagnostic and evaluation purposes unless additional repair work is separately approved.
No repair, part replacement, or corrective work is performed without Customer approval.
Labor and parts supplied and installed by USFix carry a limited 30-day warranty only for the specific repair performed.
Additional faults, concealed damage, intermittent issues, or unrelated failures may require additional approval and charges.
Safe and reasonable access to the appliance is required for service.
Full Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by USFix.
In the event of any conflict between this summary and the full Terms & Conditions below, the full Terms & Conditions control.
1. Authorization and Scope of Service
By approving service, the Customer authorizes USFix to perform diagnostic and evaluation services for the appliance identified in the service request, estimate, invoice, or work order.
Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, the initial visit is a diagnostic and evaluation service only. The purpose of the diagnostic visit is to inspect the appliance, assess visible and testable conditions, identify observed symptoms, and provide findings and repair recommendations where appropriate.
No repair, part replacement, cleaning, or corrective work will be performed unless a separate estimate is provided or the additional work is otherwise clearly approved by the Customer.
Any repair work remains subject to technician judgment, parts availability, safe working conditions, and the overall condition of the appliance. USFix may decline, postpone, or discontinue repair work when conditions are unsafe, impractical, unreliable, outside the approved scope, or not professionally advisable.
A diagnostic visit does not guarantee that:
a repair will be recommended,
a repair will be possible,
a repair will be cost-effective, or
the appliance can be restored to long-term or full operation.
2. Diagnostic / Service Fee
The diagnostic/service fee covers travel, inspection, testing, and professional evaluation of the appliance.
Because this fee is earned when the visit is performed, it is non-refundable, regardless of whether:
the Customer proceeds with repair,
repair is declined or not recommended,
parts are unavailable,
repair is later postponed or discontinued, or
the appliance is determined to be uneconomical to repair.
If additional testing, re-diagnosis, or further inspection is required due to changed symptoms, unrelated problems, inaccessible conditions, incomplete information, delays, or other circumstances outside the original scope, additional charges may apply
3. Estimates and Approval
Any estimate provided by USFix is based on the symptoms, visible conditions, accessible components, and information available at the time of inspection.
Estimates may change if additional faults, concealed damage, intermittent failures, installation-related issues, pre-existing damage, or unrelated problems are discovered during testing, disassembly, repair, or later operation.
No additional work beyond the approved scope will be performed without Customer authorization. Any work approved by the Customer remains billable once performed, even if additional issues are later discovered.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the service visit, unless otherwise agreed by USFix in writing.
USFix may require full or partial prepayment for special-order, non-returnable, or prepaid parts.
Deposits paid for special-order, prepaid, or non-returnable parts are non-refundable once the order has been placed.
Ordered parts are also subject to supplier and manufacturer return policies. Installed, used, electrical, special-order, and non-returnable parts are not refundable unless defective and approved for return or replacement by the applicable supplier or manufacturer.
Payment remains due for completed services, approved labor, diagnostic time, travel, testing, disassembly, and authorized charges.
USFix may refuse further work, follow-up service, release of parts, scheduling priority, or warranty consideration on any unpaid balance.
No warranty applies to any service, labor, or part until the related invoice has been paid in full.
5. Limited Labor Warranty
USFix provides a limited 30-day labor warranty only for the specific repair performed and only for the specific issue addressed during the original service.
If the same repaired component or the same repair workmanship fails within 30 days from the date of service, USFix may provide one warranty service visit during normal business hours at no additional labor charge for that specific covered repair.
Any labor warranty extension beyond 30 days may be offered only at USFix’s discretion and only if expressly confirmed by USFix in writing.
Warranty service is provided by appointment only and remains subject to:
safe and reasonable access,
proper installation conditions,
verification of the original covered concern, and
full payment of the original invoice.
6. Limited Parts Warranty
Parts supplied and installed by USFix are covered by a limited 30-day parts warranty, unless otherwise expressly stated in writing.
This warranty applies only to the specific part supplied and installed by USFix during the original repair.
The parts warranty does not apply to damage or failure caused by:
improper use,
misuse,
neglect,
overloading,
lack of maintenance,
power surges,
water damage,
plumbing or electrical issues external to the repaired part,
failure of unrelated components, or
conditions outside the original repair.
Customer-supplied parts are installed only at the Customer’s risk and are not covered by any warranty from USFix. USFix is not responsible for the quality, condition, fitment, compatibility, reliability, or failure of customer-supplied parts.
7. Scope of Warranty / Warranty Exclusions
Any warranty provided by USFix applies only to:
the specific part replaced, and/or
the specific labor performed.
Warranty does not apply to:
new or unrelated failures,
recurring symptoms caused by different components,
concealed or pre-existing conditions,
intermittent problems not present during service,
control board, wiring, or electronic failures affecting other systems,
outlet, breaker, fuse, or home wiring issues,
improper voltage or unstable power supply,
gas supply issues,
plumbing issues,
clogged drains, venting, or airflow problems not included in the original repair,
improper installation,
prior repairs attempted by others,
Customer modifications or attempted repairs,
misuse, abuse, overloading, or lack of maintenance,
rust, corrosion, wear, deterioration, or age-related appliance failure.
Because appliances may have multiple, concealed, or age-related issues, repair of one fault does not guarantee the overall condition, future reliability, or remaining lifespan of the appliance.
8. Exclusive Warranty Remedy
The Customer’s sole and exclusive remedy for any valid warranty claim shall be, at USFix’s option:
re-performance of the covered repair,
replacement of the covered part, or
refund of the amount actually paid for the specific covered labor or part at issue.
No other compensation, reimbursement, or remedy is owed beyond this limited warranty remedy.
9. Additional Problems / Hidden Defects
Appliances may have multiple faults, concealed defects, installation-related problems, or intermittent symptoms.
USFix’s findings and estimates are based on the conditions that are visible, testable, and present at the time of service. Additional problems may be discovered during disassembly, testing, repair, reassembly, or after the original issue has been addressed.
If additional or unrelated problems are found, further diagnostic time, labor, parts, or follow-up service may be required and separately billable.
Addressing one fault does not guarantee that all symptoms will be resolved.
10. Access and Service Conditions
The Customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the appliance and surrounding work area.
The Customer must ensure that:
the appliance is reasonably accessible,
the work area is safe,
pets and children are controlled,
water, gas, and electrical shutoffs are accessible where applicable, and
the appliance and work area are reasonably prepared for service.
If service cannot be completed because the appliance is blocked, improperly installed, unsafe to access, unsanitary, missing required utilities, or otherwise not ready for service, USFix may postpone or discontinue the visit, and additional labor, rescheduling, or return-trip charges may apply.
11. Appliance Movement and Installation Risks
Some appliances are tightly installed or connected to aging plumbing, cabinetry, flooring, gas, or electrical systems.
USFix is not liable for damage resulting from:
improper prior installation,
brittle, corroded, rusted, seized, or deteriorated fittings or connections,
weak flooring,
fragile cabinetry,
hidden structural issues,
aged or seized supply lines,
pre-existing leaks,
pre-existing physical damage, or
conditions outside the serviced component.
Moving, accessing, or testing an appliance may reveal or trigger pre-existing conditions not caused by technician negligence.
12. Water / Leak / Flooding Liability
USFix is not liable for leakage, flooding, or water damage caused by:
pre-existing plumbing defects,
deteriorated hoses,
cracked drain lines,
worn seals,
corroded fittings,
failed shut-off valves,
age-related deterioration,
unrelated component failure, or
supply line rupture not caused by technician negligence.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that shut-off valves, supply lines, drains, and related plumbing connections are in functional condition.
In cases of proven technician negligence, liability is limited strictly to the direct repair of the affected area only, excluding incidental, consequential, secondary, or unrelated damages.
13. Electrical / Gas / External Utility Conditions
USFix is not responsible for failures, delays, or damage caused by conditions external to the appliance, including:
improper voltage,
unstable power supply,
outlet failure,
tripped breakers,
faulty wiring,
power surges,
gas supply or gas pressure issues,
venting restrictions, or
plumbing restrictions.
Correction of such conditions is the Customer’s responsibility.
If the technician advises that continued appliance operation may be unsafe or may cause further damage, any continued use of the appliance is at the Customer’s sole risk.
14. Testing Limitations
Some appliances cannot be fully cycle-tested during a single visit, and some defects appear only during extended use or under intermittent operating conditions.
Unless otherwise noted, the appliance was tested and appeared operational only to the extent reasonably possible at the time service was completed.
USFix does not guarantee that any appliance has been restored to indefinite, permanent, or trouble-free operation.
15. Delays / Parts Availability / Customer Delay
USFix is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturer backorders, shipping delays, discontinued parts, supplier errors, defective replacement parts, or other circumstances outside USFix’s reasonable control.
If repair is delayed after diagnosis or after part arrival, USFix may require reinspection before continuing service.
If the Customer delays approval, scheduling, installation, or completion of repair for an extended period, USFix may close the work order, revise pricing, require a new diagnostic visit, or apply restocking, storage, or return-trip charges where applicable.
16. Cancellations / Missed Appointments / Return Trips
USFix may charge a cancellation fee, missed appointment fee, rescheduling fee, or return-trip fee when:
the Customer cancels on short notice,
the Customer is unavailable at the scheduled time,
access to the appliance is not available,
the appliance or work area is not ready for service, or
service cannot proceed due to Customer-caused conditions.
Appointment windows are estimates only and may change due to traffic, prior job conditions, parts delays, weather, or unforeseen service issues.
17. No Verbal Modifications
Any exception, modification, additional warranty, extension, discount, or special arrangement must be confirmed by USFix in writing.
No informal statement, estimate comment, courtesy statement, or verbal opinion shall modify these Terms & Conditions unless confirmed in writing by USFix.
18. Customer Responsibility
The person requesting or approving service represents that they are authorized to approve diagnostics, repairs, charges, and these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the Customer, owner, tenant, property manager, or responsible party.
The Customer is responsible for monitoring the appliance after service, particularly where water, drainage, gas, heat, or refrigeration performance is involved.
19. Refund Policy
Diagnostic fees, service call fees, completed labor charges, and installed parts are non-refundable, except where required by law or where USFix expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
If a valid warranty claim is confirmed for a covered repair, USFix may, in its discretion:
re-perform the covered repair,
replace the covered part, or
refund the amount actually paid for the specific covered labor or part at issue.
Any approved refund is limited strictly to the amount actually paid for the specific covered service or covered part involved in the claim.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, USFix shall not be liable for:
loss of use of the appliance,
food spoilage,
water damage not caused by proven technician negligence,
business interruption,
hotel costs,
inconvenience,
lost income,
incidental damages,
consequential damages,
replacement costs, or
damage arising from unrelated component failure.
USFix’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by the Customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
21. Right to Decline or Discontinue Service
USFix may decline, postpone, stop, or discontinue any diagnostic, repair, cleaning, follow-up, or warranty service when service conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, inaccessible, unreliable, outside the approved scope, or not professionally advisable.
This may include, without limitation:
unsafe conditions,
hostile or abusive conduct,
harassment or threats,
unsanitary work areas,
unlawful activity,
inaccessible or improperly installed appliances,
contamination, misuse, or improper substances,
evidence of improper operation or lack of maintenance,
conditions creating excessive risk of further damage,
hidden defects, multiple failures, or unstable operating conditions,
parts unavailability,
or situations where repair is not technically feasible, not cost-effective, or unlikely to produce reliable results.
If service is declined, stopped, postponed, or discontinued for any such reason, diagnostic/service fees and any labor, time, testing, disassembly, travel, or other services already performed remain due and non-refundable.
22. Documentation
USFix may document the appliance condition, installation, surrounding area, visible defects, completed work, communications, and testing results using notes, photographs, video, and audio recordings where reasonably necessary for service, quality control, safety, training, warranty, billing, or dispute resolution purposes.
By approving service, the Customer consents to such documentation related to the service provided.
23. Communication and Payment Disputes
The Customer agrees to provide accurate contact information and to communicate promptly regarding scheduling, approvals, and service-related questions.
If a billing concern arises, the Customer agrees to contact USFix first to allow a reasonable opportunity to review and address the matter before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute involving completed and documented services, the Customer agrees that service notes, estimates, approvals, invoices, photographs, recordings, and communication records may be used as evidence in support of the charges.
The Customer remains responsible for unjustified chargebacks, reversals, fees, or related costs arising from completed and authorized services.
24. Electronic Acceptance
Electronic signatures, online approvals, text-message approvals, email approvals, payment authorizations, and other electronic confirmations shall have the same force and effect as an in-person signature for purposes of acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and authorization of service.
25. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Washington.
26. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be interpreted as closely as possible to its intended purpose under applicable law.
27. Acceptance of Terms
Approval of an estimate, invoice, work order, service request, text confirmation, email confirmation, in-person authorization, online approval, or payment for service constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
